WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita police say officers used surveillance cameras in Old Town to catch a suspect who fired a gun into the air during a disturbance early Friday.

Officers were called at around 12:30 a.m. to the report of a disturbance with a weapon at Industry Old Town, a club at 126 North Mosley. Officer Charley Davidson said there was a disturbance between two groups of men in the club.

The two groups exited the business, one getting into a gray Cadillac. A single shot was fired into the air from the car.

Arriving officers located and stopped the vehicle, which was occupied by "multiple males," at Eldora and Mead, Officer Davidson said.

"Through speaking to witnesses and utilizing the Old Town cameras officers were able to identify the suspect."

The 22-year-old suspect was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail for unlawful discharge of a firearm. His name was not released.
