Too much Christmas music could be bad for your health

If you've avoided listening to Christmas tunes so far this year, soon it'll be nearly impossible. One clinical psychologist says says too much holiday music can be bad for your health.

Linda Blair told Sky News that hearing Christmas songs can often serve as a reminder of the many things left undone as the holidays approach, leaving reluctant listeners stressed about gifts they've not yet purchased, menu planning that must be done, caterers that need to be hired, travel that's yet to be organized and more.

She went on to say that store clerks run the highest risk of being worn down by joyful holiday jingles, which often play all day long in retail spaces and leave them fighting to "tune it out" and "unable to focus on anything else."

"Christmas music is likely to irritate people if it's played too loudly and too early," Blair said.
