Kansas State has been named the National Team of the Week by the Football Writers Association of America after upsetting No. 10 Oklahoma State 45-40 on Saturday.

This is just the fourth time in program history the team has earned this honor. They won it after beating Oklahoma in 2012, Texas in 2007 and Nebraska in 2003.

K-State was able to score 28 unanswered points in  Stillwater in the second and third quarters while also being able to hold off a late Oklahoma State run.

This was their first win over at top-10 team since beating No. 6 Oklahoma in 2012. The Wildcats are also bowl eligible for an eighth straight season.
