KBI investigating Beloit man's death

BELOIT, Kan. (KAKE) -

A death in Beloit is being looked into by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

Beloit police officers responded to a call about an unresponsive person in the 400 block of East Court around 1 a.m. Saturday. Officers found the man dead.

A news release says the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Mitchell County Sheriff's Office and Beloit Police Department are investigating the circumstances and awaiting autopsy results.

Beloit police say they do not believe there is reason for a public safety concern.
