Operation Holiday Wish List 2017 Operation Holiday Wish List 2017
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Town West Mall is the new home for Operation Holiday, the Wichita area one-stop-shop for people looking for a little help with holiday time shopping.

From food, clothing, toys and even shopping gift cards, Operation Holiday focus is on helping people in need.

“For some people, they may have the basic necessities, but they just don't have enough to do anything special for the holidays,” said Ashley Davis of Operation Holiday.

“What we really try and do is bring a little bit more joy, to a time of year that might otherwise pass without them being able to acknowledge that special holiday meal or toys for the kids or grandkids.”

Operation Holiday is a little bit behind schedule, they did not have a location to set up their vast rows of donated goods until recently. Still, organizers believe that this year, they will be able to serve up to 14,000 people needing assistance.

Operation Holiday does have a wish list for people wanting to help donate food and other items.
