Hunters should see more pheasant, quail in Kansas

Pheasant and quail seasons open tomorrow,  and hunters should find more birds in the fields. 

The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism said pheasant hunting should be fair to good this year,  with quail hunting expected to be good to great in in certain areas of Kansas.  

Pheasant and quail season runs through January 31, 2018.

Hunting season pumps an estimated $400 million into the Kansas economy each year.
