2 dead, 2 injured in head-on collision in Ford County

MINNEOLA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Two people have died and two others are injured after a head-on collision in southern Ford County.

It happened Tuesday morning on US-54 about 8 miles northeast of Minneola, which is just south of the Ford County line.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a pickup was westbound in the eastbound lane when it collided head on with a semi

The 34-year-old driver of the pickup, Andrew Manning of Wichita, and his 27-year-old passenger, Ashiona Hollingsworth of Winfield, both died.

The driver and passenger of the semi were taken to the hospital.
