Murder suspect arrested in Republic County
The search for an accused murder has ended in north central Kansas.
The Republic County Sheriff said Zachary Barnes was arrested without incident this morning near the town of Cuba.
Barnes had been the subject of an intensive manhunt for two days. He's accused in a murder in Kansas City.
A woman believed to be with Barnes, Shannon Dace, has not been located.

Republic County authorities received an arrest warrant for a man accused in a Kansas City murder. Sheriff's officers went to Scandia to execute the warrant and the suspect left before he could be arrested.
The suspect, Zachary Barnes, was spotted in Belleville. Authorities responded to 18th & G Streets where it's believed Barnes is inside a house.
Schools in the area were notified to lock down as a precaution.
Barnes is 24 years old. He's 5'7" tall, 160 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
