PARK CITY, Kan. (KAKE) -

Nico Hernandez will return to the ring for his third fight on Sept. 23 at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan.

The Wichita native will battle Mexican flyweight Francisco "Guerrero" Lapizco (8-5, 2 2 KOs).

"My opponent has never been stopped. Obviously, he has more professional experience than me, and I understand he likes putting pressure on his opponent. I want to be the first to stop this guy," Hernandez said. "I also want the boxing world to know I'm coming for belts. Champions should get ready for Nico Hernandez."

In his professional debut back in March, the Olympic bronze medalist knocked out Patrick Gutierrez in the fourth round and then in June he beat previously undefeated Jose Rodriquez in the third round.

The fight will take place at 9 p.m. and be broadcasted on the CBS Sports Network.
