PRATT, Kan. (KAKE) -

The City of Pratt has declared a water warning due to four water main breaks.

City officials said in a Facebook post on Monday described the breaks on 12-inch lines as "major," adding that the city was running off of six wells.

Commissioners Monday night passed a Declaration of Water Warning that will remain in effect until the problems are corrected.

"A Water Warning recommends restrictions on non-essential uses during the period of warning, such as watering your lawn, washing vehicles, etc.," the Facebook post says.
