2 killed in head-on crash in eastern Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Two drivers were killed Monday morning when their vehicles collided head-on in eastern Kansas.

The crash happened at around 6:15 a.m. on K-68 near Paola. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a 2012 Ford Edge was heading west when it crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a 2016 Toyota Corolla. 

Both drivers died at the scene. Tiffany Maimer, 24, of Paola, was driving the Toyota. Samuel Dead, 42, of Archie, Missouri, was driving the Ford. 

The Patrol's online crash log states neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
