FC Wichita wins Heartland Conference title

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

FC Wichita are Heartland Conference champions for the second time in three seasons after a 5-1 victory over Tulsa Athletic Saturday night.

The boys in red played to a packed house at Stryker Soccer Complex and won an 8th straight match for the Wichita crowd.

Midfielder Matt Clare scored a hat trick in the effort, including two in the first half, and Deri Corfe added two of his own.

Wichita will now host Midland-Odessa FC, the Lonestar League champs, next Saturday at Stryker for the South Region Semifinals.
