WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities are now calling a Wichita house fire incident where a woman was found dead inside a case of arson.

Sedgwick County jail booking records show Dane A. Wright, 29, was booked into jail on several charges including first degree murder, arson and three counts of child endangerment upon his capture after the disappearance of three young boys and the death of their mother following the blaze Friday afternoon.

The fire was reported at around 12:30 p.m. at a home in the 300 block of North Ash. Deputy Fire Chief Brad Crisp said crews arrived to find smoke coming from the house.

AMBER Alert cancelled: children safe, suspect captured

"They located a fire down in the basement," Crisp said. "During search an rescue efforts, they did locate a fire fatality."

A firefighter suffered a minor medial emergency, Crisp said.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

"Next steps is we obviously want to identify the area or origin and what may have caused the fire to occur. At the same time, we want to determine why we had a fatality, what the cause of death may have been. We'll need to work with the police department and the coroners office on that."
