Police investigate robberies at 2 Wichita businesses

Wichita police are investigating robberies that happened at two businesses Thursday night. 

The first robbery happened at around 9 p.m. at Schlotzsky's Deli in the 1140 South Rock Road. Officer Charley Davidson said one employee was taking out the trash when he was approached by two suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun. 

The suspects demanded money and entered the business with the employee. Money was given to the suspects and they fled the scene. 

The suspects were described as black men in their mid-20s wearing black clothing. 

About an hour and a half later, the Little Caesars at 2548 South Seneca was robbed. An employee was taking out the trash when a suspect with a handgun entered the rear door and demanded money.

Money was given to the suspect who fled the area. No suspect description was provided.
