Man critically hurt, Porsche stolen during Wichita home invasion

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita police say a man suffered critical injuries and a Porsche was stolen during a home invasion on Thursday. 

Officers were called at around 2:30 p.m. to a home in the 2200 block of North Piatt, near 21st Street and I-135. A 67-year-old man told police he arrived home to find his older brother with a head injury. He was hospitalized in critical condition. 

Officer Charley Davidson said entry to the home had been forced through the back door and a blue Porsche Cayenne had been stolen.

The Porsche was later recovered in the 2400 block of North Minnesota. 

No suspect information was released during a Friday morning media briefing. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111.
