PERRY, Okla. (KAKE) -

They may not fit the Bible description of a "great earthquake." But the earth shook noticeably in north-central Oklahoma early on "resurrection Sunday" - not once, but twice.

The U,S, Geological Survey recorded two quakes in approximately the same location, about ten miles southwest of Perry. The stronger one occurred around 1:30 a.m., with a 3.2 magnitude. The second quake measured 2.9, and happened shortly before 5:00 a.m.

The USGS received one report of someone feeling the first earthquake in Cherryvale, Kansas. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
