WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita State University's Cessna Stadium, long open to the public for free use, is now taking that privilege away from the public -- but not totally.

People will still be able to use the facility going forward, but to do so they'll need to pay a $100 deposit for which they'll get a key to enter the stadium. The money is then returned to the person paying the deposit when the key is returned.

The school says the many high school athletes who used the facility to train, as well as folks just wanting to get a workout were causing damage to the facility.
