Saline County Sheriff's Office: Vandals hit old Gypsum schoolhouse

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

The Saline County Sheriff's Office says someone broke into an old schoolhouse in Gypsum during the overnight hours of April 10 and April 11 and vandalized the building. 

They report the vandals broke three of the building's windows and damages several areas of drywall inside the old school. Time codes on surveillance photos taken inside the building show between 7:48 and 8:07 p.m. April 10, but it is not confirmed whether those time codes are correct. 

The loss is estimated at about $1,000. 

The Sheriff's Office asks anyone with information to call Saline County Crime Stoppers at (785) 825-TIPS or text SATIPS to CRIMES (274637. You can also leave your tip at www.pd.salina.org. You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 and you are not required to give your name.
