WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

For the first time since Eisenhower National Airport has been renovated, a new airline carrier has come to Wichita.

Alaska Airlines started non-stop flights between Wichita and Seattle and will continue to do so, seven days a week.

“To come directly into Wichita and fly directly to Seattle, it’s wonderful,” said Anna Moubry from Downs, Kansas.

Moubry and her husband have family in Seattle, but only could travel there once every few years, but with a nonstop option in Wichita, they might travel more often.

Alaska Airlines has been rated top in the industry in the United States for customer service.

“That’s good news” said Victor White of Eisenhower National Airport.

A ticket for the nearly four hour round trip can vary, if the trip is not spur of the moment, it can cost between the upper $300.00’s to the mid-$500.00’s depending on the dates selected.
