Barton County wrestlers arrested on drug chargesPosted: Updated:
Two Barton Community College wrestlers have been arrested on drug charges.
Great Bend Police served a search warrant on an apartment Wednesday afternoon. The warrant was based on information drugs were being sold at the location.
In a news release, police said the people inside the apartment refused to come to the door. Officers forced the door open and found evidence that a large quantity of marijuana had been flushed down the toilet. Police said the amount of marijuana flushed was enough to clog the toilet.
Devon Baker and Sean Taborsky were arrested for possession of marijuana and interference with a law enforcement officer. Both men are 19-year-old sophomores from the Wichita area.
Baker and Taborsky competed in the NJCAA wrestling championships last month.
