KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KAKE) -

As Wichita college student Toni Anderson remains missing, a petition drive has been launched for the release of videotapes that could show her final known moments.

"We are asking that the Kansas City Missouri Police Department & North Kansas city police department release any surveillance, Street, dash cam videos to the public," a message at an online petition site says. The petition was more than halfway to its 3,000-name goal Wednesday afternoon.

Anderson has not been seen since she was stopped by North Kansas City police early on January 15 for an improper lane change. Police records show she was not ticketed. Anderson went to a convenience store nearby after that, then disappeared.

Relatives say Anderson, a Wichita East High School graduate, was preparing to begin spring classes at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
