WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

The kidnapping and safe return of one-week-old Sophia Gonzales touched many hearts across Kansas and around the country. There are several ways you can show your support.

A Wichita woman has received approval from the baby's family to collect donations of nursery items, including wipes and clothing. They can be left at 3020 East Stafford. Karina Rodriguez will be collecting items for Sophia for the next two weeks. The family is asking for baby formula and infant clothes, but all donations are accepted. You can call Rodriguez at 316-871-6439 if you have any questions.

A GoFundMe page was created Friday to help cover funeral expenses for Laura Orquidea Abarca Nogueda, the mother of Sophia who was found shot and killed. It had nearly reached the $10,000 goal as of Sunday afternoon, including one anonymous donation of $5,000. Find out about that by clicking here.
