STERLING, Kan. (KAKE) -

A pharmaceutical company based in Sterling announced Monday it will set its headquarters there, and expand to create at least 25 new jobs.

Genzada Pharmaceuticals revealed in a statement its new headquarters will open next year at 101 South Broadway. It will have nearly 10,000 square feet of space. The office space will be in addition to Genzada's current Sterling location, which will turn into a research and manufacturing lab.

Executive Vice President Jason West said the upgrade should lead to between 25 and 30 new jobs, and allow Genzada "to expand on achieving our mission, which is to eliminate diseases that induce human suffering."

The announcement did not say exactly how many people work for Genzada now.
