Lily Wu is an award-winning journalist and active community volunteer. She joined KAKE News in 2010 after earning a master's degree in journalism from the University of Hong Kong. Lily grew up in Wichita, Kan. and earned the distinction of Summa Cum Laude by graduating with two bachelor's degrees in international business and integrated marketing communications from Wichita State University. 

She is active in the community serving on various non-profit organization boards and volunteering her time to community causes. She is a Past President of the Wichita Asian Association, director of the Miss Wichita Asian Festival Scholarship Pageant, and serves as an emcee for the annual Wichita Asian Festival event. Lily is also a board member for the Wichita State University Alumni Association. 

Lily and Photojournalist Larry Buell won the first place distinction for "In-Depth News Reporting" in 2017 through the Kansas Association of Broadcasters." She was named a "Leader in Diversity" in 2015 through the Wichita Business Journal.

She is involved with pageantry and placed 4th-Runner Up at Miss Global 2017, held in Cambodia.  Lily has also represented the USA at Miss World University and Miss Chinese World, as well as represented Kansas at Miss United States, Miss Teen International, and Miss International. 

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new foods and restaurants, and cheering for the Shockers.
