Meteorologist Aaron Blaser is the newest addition to the KAKEland WeatherPlex, joining the team in August 2008.
Before coming to KAKE, he was the weekday morning meteorologist for KQTV in St. Joseph, Missouri for two years.
In addition to his in studio work, he’s a well-known storm chaser. His storm footage has been seen worldwide. In 2001, he helped introduce live, while moving, storm chasing video streaming via satellite to the Wichita market.
Aaron was raised, and went to school, in Andover. He holds a certificate in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University, and is a member of the National Weather Association.
In his spare time, he is an avid golfer and a longtime fan of the Miami Dolphins. He is also recognized as one of Wichita's best Golden Tee golfers.
Aaron, his wife Wendy, and their two cats live in Wichita.
