Terrell was born in Aviano, Italy and grew up in Wichita, attending Derby schools. A four-year letter winner at Derby High School, he finished in 1998 as the all-time leading scorer in Derby High School Boy's basketball history (a record he still holds). Terrell’s very successful high school career earned him a scholarship to play at Wichita State University.
As a Shocker, Terrell was named to the Missouri Valley All Bench Team and Most Improved Team his sophomore season. He then led the team in scoring his junior year. Terrell completed his eligibility at Wichita State as a four-year letter winner, the all-time leader in 3-point field goals and the 33rd member of the 1,000-point club.
Terrell spent two seasons as the color analyst for WSU men's basketball road games with Mike Kennedy before becoming a member of the SportsRadio 1410 KGSO team. He currently co-hosts their popular morning show, The Game Plan with Chris Allison. Terrell can be heard weekdays from 6:00 – 9:00 AM on 1410 AM in the Wichita metro area.
