Stephanie joined the KAKE News team in August 2009.
Before joining KAKE, Stephanie worked as the weekend anchor and reporter for KSNF in Joplin. She has also reported and anchored for KOMU in Columbia, where she graduated from the University of Missouri with a Broadcast Journalism degree. In Joplin, Stephanie reported and anchored continuous coverage of the May 10, 2008 tornadoes that killed almost 30 people and wiped out Picher, Oklahoma. She also received national attention for her reports on the murder of a 9-year-old girl.
Stephanie was raised in Wichita and attended Andover High School, so she's delighted to be bringing the news to her hometown. When she's not watching, reading, or writing the news... Stephanie enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
