A long time KAKE News reporter, Deb Farris is also co-anchor with Jeff Herndon for KAKE News at 4:00. KAKE TV has the only 4 PM newscast in the Wichita DMA.
Raised in Pratt, Deb graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in Broadcast Communications. Her first full-time TV job was in Topeka before landing a reporter's position at KAKE TV in 1992. As a reporter, Deb has received two Edward R. Murrow Awards and numerous Kansas Association of Broadcasting awards.
Deb has two young children. In her free time, she loves reading, shopping, volleyball and vacationing on the beach.
