Elyse is a native Kansan, born and raised in Oakley. She got her feet wet in the broadcast industry as an intern in the KAKE newsroom and worked at Entercom Radio in Wichita as a news reporter and monitor. In December of 2006, Elyse graduated with her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electronic Journalism from Kansas State University. She then ventured to the Florida Panhandle where she worked as the Destin Bureau Reporter for an NBC affiliate station, WJHG TV. While Elyse misses the Panhandle's sugar white beaches, turquoise waters and wonderful people, she's glad to be back home working as KAKE's Western Kansas Bureau Chief in Garden City. Elyse reports and anchors for KUPK TV 13 & KLBY TV 4 weeknights at 6:00 & 10:00 PM. When not working, Elyse can be found spending time with family and friends. January 2008
