Mike Iuen is a familiar face for anyone who rises early in Kansas. Mike is a veteran journalist who has anchored KAKE's top rated news program "Good Morning Kansas" since January 1991. In 2006, Good Morning Kansas won the Regional Emmy for Morning Newscast.
Mike has been part of the KAKE news team since 1981. In his early years with KAKE, Mike was a general assignment reporter, but proved valuable and very flexible developing stories from specific beats. Mike has covered the police beat, courts, business and aviation. He also was assignment editor for five years and served as news director in 1990.
Mike is a journalism graduate of the University of Missouri. His career began with KJAC in Port Arthur, Texas. Other stops on the television highway have been KWCH in Wichita and WSVN in Miami, Florida.
Mike, and his wife Maggie, have five children; Jason, Lindsay, Tiffany, Keri and Vanessa and enjoys working with computers.
