A long-time Kansan, Grant has been in the television broadcasting business for 25 years. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in journalism, he began his career in Hays, but soon made his way to Wichita. Along the way, he’s been an award-winning reporter, anchor, producer and manager. In May 2006, Grant became News Director for KAKE-TV and its sister stations in Garden City (KUPK) & Colby (KLBY).
Grant joined KAKE-TV in 1995 and was part of the KAKE News team that won the National Edward R. Murrow Award for overall excellence in 1999. In addition, he and his KAKE colleagues received regional Emmys for best evening newscast in 2006, and best daytime newscast in 2007 and 2008.
In the community, Grant serves on the West YMCA Advisory board, and is active as a Cub Scout leader and youth sports volunteer. Grant and his wife have two sons.
