A long-time Kansan, Grant has been in the television broadcasting business for 23 years. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in journalism, he began his career in Hays, but soon made his way to Wichita. Along the way, he’s been an award-winning reporter, anchor, producer and manager. In May 2006, Grant became News Director for KAKE TV and its sister stations in Garden City (KUPK) & Colby (KLBY).
Grant joined KAKE-TV in 1995 and was part of the KAKE News team that won the National Edward R. Murrow Award for overall excellence in 1999. In addition, he and his KAKE colleagues received a regional Emmy for best evening newscast in 2006.
In the community, Grant serves on the West YMCA Advisory board, and is active as a Cub Scout leader. Grant and his wife have two sons.
