Colby Voters Approve Tax Hike For Aquatic Center

Colby voters Tuesday approved a local sales tax increase to fund construction of a new aquatic center. The vote was 896 for the increase, and 311 against it.
The local sales tax will increase by three-quarters of a cent.
The aquatic center will replace the city's 68-year-old pool. The center should be open in June, 2011.
