SAN ANTONIO - One of the biggest rivals for the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos may be considering a move to Texas.

The San Antonio Express-News reported Tuesday the owner of the Oakland Raiders visited San Antonio recently, to talk about playing at the Alamodome. A new stadium for the team eventually would be built.

Owner Mark Davis confirmed to the Oakland Tribune he talked with San Antonio officials recently, but would not talk further about the franchise's location.

The Raiders' lease at Oakland's Coliseum expires at the end of the upcoming season.

The Raiders left Oakland once before, spending 13 years in Los Angeles before returning in the mid-1990s. The last Super Bowl title for the Raiders came while the team called the Los Angeles Coliseum home.

San Antonio has hosted a few regular-season N.F.L. games. The New Orleans Saints moved some home games to the Alamodome in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast.
