Fans are already starting to line up for a prime spot to watch the San Francisco Giants World Series ticker-tape parade.
Television news footage early Wednesday morning showed people sitting and standing in Giants gear behind barriers set up along the parade route on Market Street in downtown hours before the parade's 11 a.m. start.
Fans had also gathered at City Hall, where the team will address the crowd after the parade.
Officials expect hundreds of thousands of people to attend and have warned that they plan to keep the event alcohol-free and family friendly. The celebration coincides with Halloween.
