Three players scored in double figures to lead Wichita South to a 46-44 victory Saturday over Wichita Heights for the Kansas Class 6A girls championship.
Kirea Rogers had 14 points, Kendrian Elliott had 11 and Ericka Mattingly scored 10 to lead Wichita South, which finished the season 24-1. Madison Northcutt pulled down nine rebounds for South.
Wichita Heights (18-7) also had three players in double figures, led by Kaitlyn Palmer with 12 and Jharian Bowen and Jada Lynch both with 10.
The game was tied at halftime at 24 after South jumped out to a six-point lead after the first period.
