West Says Speed Could Be Key In Shrine Bowl Game

July 25, 2012

The 2012 version of the Kansas Shrine Bowl football game will be held in Emporia, and one team hopes to turn it into a track meet. The Shrine teams are made up of the top high school players from Kansas of the 2011 season.

The West team is holding camp in Salina this week. The West thinks their team speed will be a key. "I don't think anyone can keep up with us really", said Deante Burton of Manhattan.

The West is going for its seventh straight win over the East. The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
