The Buffalos will embark on 2012 football season full of optimism. They return the state's top passer in Senior, Zach Howell, who in 2011, shattered the single-season passing record 4208 yards and 46 touchdowns. Sunrise will also take a big step in competition. They'll face a pair of 3A programs in Kingman and Douglass and 5A competitor in Valley Center. This, with just only 23 players on the Buffalos roster.
Coach Trey Hall feels his team with their sophisticated passing attack and Howell as the trigger man, will be competitive in each of their contest this season.
