For the first time since 1981, Wichita will be represented in the McDonalds High School All America basketball game.
Heights High senior Perry Ellis will play in the all star game tonight in Chicago. The game will be televised at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.
Ellis led the Falcons to four consecutive state titles, and won four straight Kansas player of the year honors. He will play at the University of Kansas next season. Ellis will be on the East squad in tonight's game.
He is the first Wichita player in the game since Aubrey Sherrod and Greg Dreiling were selected in 1981.
