Kapaun pulled away to beat Southeast 40-23 Thursday night.
The Crusaders and Buffaloes played to a 15-15 tie at halftime. Kapaun blew the game open in the final quarter. The big play was a 70-yard fumble return by Michael Martin.
Kapaun is 1-1 on the season. Southeast falls to 0-2.
