Larson is the youngest of 4 volleyball playing sisters. The first three played at Maize High but all tutored by the same coach, their mom, former Eagle, now Maverick head coach Teri Larson.

"She has grown up with the game her whole life," said Coach Larson of her daughter. "She's remembered as my ball girl, she kept score on the bench as a little kid. She's played a lot of sports but this has been her passion."

The Mavs began the week 16-0. Their last match was a 3-set championship win over Kapaun in the Maize tournament championship. That kept their perfect record in-tact with proof that they deserved mention with the best teams in 4A.

"It was very exciting. We worked so hard to win that thing." Jody told KAKE. "We were so tired all weekend and sore on Monday, we worked hard."
