Heights Wins State Football Title; Carroll Falls Short

The Heights High Falcons are 6A state football champions. The Falcons dominated Olathe North in today's title game, winning by a final of 48-14.

Senior Dreamius Smith had 286 yards rushing and four touchdowns.

It's the City League's first 6A state football title since 1983.

Blue Valley got off to a hot start and held on to beat Bishop Carroll in the Class 5A final. Blue Valley led 28-7 at the half and held on for the 35-14 win.
