That was then, this is now.
The Pioneer program is going thru a revival, thanks to new Head Coach, Weston Schartz, who has West playing some good football thru the first half of the season.
Both teams squaring off Thursday night, where we saw a defensive struggle in the first half, scoreless at half.
Start of the 2nd half, West took the opening kickoff 40 yards, inside the Falcons 40.
That's when DJ Jones hooked up with Marcus Malcome on a 35 yard pitch and catch to go up 7-0.
But Heights responded quickly with a TD from Trey King. A 2-point conversion made it 8-7.
Jones left the game middle of the 3rd quarter with an apparent shoulder injury and Heights took advantage, scoring 30 unanswered points to win, 30-7 over West.
