That was the first season for Brian Byers.
Since then, the Blue Aces haven't come close to cracking the glass ceiling in the City League to advance to the postseason.
In 2012, Byers says that things might be changing. He says that guys are starting to understand what it takes to win. He returned many starters from last season, so experience isn't the issue. It's with the back-ups. Depth is a big concern for Byers. But if East can find a way to stay healthy, expect the Blue Aces to be competitive this season.
