The Class 2-1A state football championship went into overtime, and the defense won the title for Centralia.

Centralia had the ball first in overtime and scored a touchdown. The Panthers defense then stopped LaCrosse on four consecutive plays to claim the 20-14 victory.

Centralia finishes the season 10-3. LaCrosse lost for the first time, ending the season 12-1.
