One word could describe the Bishop Carroll football team of 2011...overachieve.

The Golden Eagles advanced to the state semifinals, falling to eventual state champion Hutchinson.

The youth and inexperience from last season will help the eagles as they try to make a state title run in 2012. Traditional 5A powers Hutchinson and McPherson have moved to different classifications.

Carroll opens the season August 30th against Wichita Heights.
