He's a basketball standout for the 2-time state champion Heights Falcons and he's pretty good in football too.

Evan Wessel is the KAKE Sports student athlete of the week.

Two weeks ago, he signed his letter of intent to play college basketball at Wichita State.

Since then he's made game changing plays that propelled Heights to its second consecutive 6A title game in football.

The Falcons take on Olathe North Saturday for the title.
