This week's KAKE Sports Athlete of the Week is Word of Life Receiver, Jacob Pope.

Last Friday, Pope caught for 202 yards, leading the Fire to their first win of the season.

And that performance came from his coach giving him a little motivation. "I challenged him, you have to step up in a big game...you guys have to step up and make the big plays", said Word Of Life Coach David Simmons. Pope added, "I'm not much of a go out and get everyone hyped, i'm just calm, collected and go out and play".
