WSU's Baker Out Six Weeks With Stress Fracture

Just when things were going great for Wichita State basketball, the season has taken an unfortunate turn.

Gregg Marshall announced on Tuesday that starting Shooting Guard, Ron Baker will miss the next six weeks, due to a stress fracture in his foot. Added to the injury list, the injuries of Carl Hall(6 wks.), Evan Wessel(Undetermined) & Ehimen Orukpe(Undetermined). Marshall also said that Guard, Tekele Cotton is 75%, due to an ankle injury.

The injuries leave the Shockers with at least eight healthy players.

Today's news comes after the Shox suffered its 1st loss of the season last Thursday at Tennessee.

WSU returns to action on Thursday at home against Charleston Southern.
