Today's Athlete Of The Week however, is a prime example of taking what life gives you... without making any excuses...or regrets.
The moment you meet Karlee Cooper... you think, vibrant & tall.
The junior cheerleader out of Northwest lights up a room with her big smile... and she uses every bit of that energy everytime she steps on the court or field.
And that admiration, comes from conquering a life changing disability.
Karlee was born without a lower left arm...and she's worn a prosthesis from childhood.. until now.
Some of the most basic tasks like tying a shoe... or holding a pom-pom is a challenge.
But through it all... the support from family and friends, has given Karlee acceptance and understanding.
