Kansas State jumped eight spots to No. 7 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 college football poll after the Wildcats' 24-19 victory over Oklahoma Saturday night.
It is K-State's best ranking since September 2006. The Sooners dropped from No. 6 to 16th in this week's poll.
Also this week, Oregon moved past LSU to No. 2, behind No. 1 Alabama. The Ducks rolled to an easy 49-0 victory over Arizona Saturday night while the Tigers struggled to remain unbeaten. LSU won at Auburn 12-10.
Florida state kept the No. 4 spot after beating Clemson 49-37 and Georgia remained at No. 5. South Carolina is No. 6 in this week's Top 25 poll, giving the Southeastern Conference four of the top six teams in the nation.
